New allergens for individual diagnosis of allergy
Allergy is a growing worldwide problem. Initially harmless substances (=allergens) from environment or nutriment can trigger severe reactions in the body. Providing of tailored panels of allergens for each patient is an important contribution to the diagnostic of allergies. At the end of 2014 Astra Biotech extended its allergen panel by more than 70 new allergens, among them food, drugs, occupational allergens, recombinant and native allergens, animal and plant allergens, as well as allergen mixes.
