Cystic fibrosis microarray-on-a-chip – Now available!

Cystic Fibrosis (CF, mucoviscidosis) is one of the most common hereditary diseases, caused by a defect of the CFTR-gene that is located at chromosome 7. It occurs with a frequency of 1 in every 2500 European births. Up to now, there are 1700 mutations known in this gene. However, most of them have only a low frequency within populations or a mild phenotype.

The Cystic Fibrosis Microarray-on-a-chip is suitable for reliable, fast and sensitive detection of the 25 most important CFTR-mutations at the same time.

The easy handling and comprehensibility of the CF test have also been confirmed by experts. All necessary components are included in the kit. No expensive hybridization equipment is required. The readout of the microarrays is possible with different microarray scanners.
